Independence Celebration & Cruise-In
The Burkesville Chamber of Commerce sponsored an Independence
Celebration at the park in Burkesville, KY. They asked the Cumberland
River Cruisers to have a car show and cruise-in during the events on
Saturday, July 3rd.
The CRC Cruise-In & Car Show registration began
at 11 AM. There were free dash plaques and pictures taken of the
registered vehicles.![]()

Citizen's Bank Celebration
Citizen's Bank held a celebration for their 10th anniversary in business
Saturday evening. Several of the C-R-Cruisers were in attendance and a
few had brought their cars and parked them in the bank's front parking
lot.
Citizen's
Bank employees were passing out free hot dogs, hamburgers and there were
coolers of cold drinks for people to pick up a drink too. During the
evening there were two musical groups that played music on a portable
stage with a crowd of people setting under a tent and on the rear
parking lot in their own lawn chairs.
When
the musical groups would take breaks, there were ticket drawing for
savings bonds and a flat screen TV was also given away. People were also
playing Corn Hole in the drive up banking area. It looked like the crowd
was between two and three hundred people while I was there.

It had rained Saturday morning and the sky looked like it might rain
again, so the turnout was lighter than normal.![]()

Norris all received trophies for each of their entries in the car show.
