Welcome to the Cumberland River Cruisers new web site.

The club held our first cruise-in on May 30th, 2009 around the Courthouse Square in Burkesville. Members brought their cars and parked, then mingled with each other while drawings were held for prizes. We gathered together with the Justice Center as a backdrop for our first Cumberland River Cruisers Club picture.

From April to October, our club holds a crusie-in the first Saturday of each month on the Courthouse Square in Burkesville at 3 PM. Everyone is welcome to bring their vehicle or to just come and walk around and look.

Using Our Web Site

I hope you find the new web site easy to use. There are a few things that might need explanations.
All information in the left column will remain until it is replaced by newer postings. Readers can use the comment feature by clicking on "Leave a comment" at the bottom of each post, then type your comment and fill in the information, then click "OK".
In the right hand column there are things that will probably change each time you visit the site. The small pictures will change each time the page is loaded or refreshed. The links to the albums will change as we have new cruise-ins or members submit pictures of other cruise-ins and those links are added. The Car Club News will change depending on what Google News finds on line concerning car clubs in Kentucky.
The days on the calendar can be clicked on if there was a posting on that day.
You will be able to look at previous months by using the Archives links below the calendar.

Hopefully, members will submit links to other sites and those can be added. It would be great for members to submit information and stories about their cars to be included on our web site too. Send me your pictures and stories and I will try to add them to this web site.

Cumberland River Cruisers Club Dinner

The Cumberland River Cruisers Club Dinner was held at the park in Burkesville. Club members and their families came for a beautiful day in the park and good food. The weather cooperated by being extra nice, with the temperatures in the mid seventies and a partly cloudy sky. Club members did a nice job of organizing with plenty of ice cold drinks to go with the hamburgers and hot dogs all furnished by the club. Each member brought a dish of their own choosing, so there was a nice assortment of vegetables and desserts. After a short blessing of the meal, members and their families began passing along the picnic tables and filling their trays.
 
After everyone had passed through the line and ate, members sat and talked and showed their cars to others in attendance.
We had a nice time and I believe everyone that came did also. Nice job by the members that worked to make it fun and enjoyable for everyone.
