CRC Club Dinner
This year the Cruisers met for dinner at the Cumberland County
Elementary School. Club Members were registered for door prizes as they
signed in. They brought covered dishes which were arranged by some of
the ladies as club business was conducted during a short meeting. The
cruise-in schedule was voted on for next year. The dates will be
announced once confirmation has been acquired from the City Council for
use of the park. Nominations for CRC Officers were opened, first for
President, then Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. Dave Neff was
the only person nominated that accepted the nomination for President.
Phillip Davidson was the only person nominated for Vice President and
Julie Waits was the only person nominated for Secretary/Treasurer.
Nominations were closed.
Earl
Morrison was introduced as one of the club's new members and the other
new members, not in attendance, names were announced. The meeting was
adjourned and Odis Young offered a short prayer before the dinner began.
The members and their guests passed through the two lines and served
themselves to a nice selection of home made dishes and desserts. After a
period of eating and conversation, numbers were drawn for the door
prizes of club shirts, various car cleanup products, cooler cups and etc.
Member

Marrowbone Christmas Parade
Some of the Cumberland River Cruisers met in front of the Justice Center
in Burkesville and cruised over to Marrowbone to be in the Christmas
Parade. Several of the Cruisers were already in line when we cruised
into the parking lot in front of the church. It was a cool but beautiful
day for the parade and there were quite a few people that showed up to
participate in the event.![]()
The
Cumberland County High School Band was warming up in front of the church
before the parade started.![]()
People
were standing around talking and enjoying the friendly atmosphere as
parade organizers were completing the arrangements before signaling
everyone to form a line and begin the parade.
![]()
There
were crowds of people along the highway as we wound through town and
threw candy to the kids. Everyone was shouting "Merry Christmas" as they
threw the candy or picked it up along with the kids.
