Marrowbone Christmas Parade

Phillip contacted me Thursday, before we ate Thanksgiving Dinner and told me that several of the club members were meeting in Burkesville Saturday morning the 28th of Nov at 9:30. They were planning on driving their cars to Marrowbone and being in the Christmas Parade. I posted the information several places.
Saturday, members drove into Burkesville and met the other guys and gals on the Courthouse Square that were going to Marrowbone to be in the Christmas Parade. After talking for a little while, we drove to Marrowbone and parked in front of the church and waited for the parade line to form. Everyone was friendly and had fun talking with each other while we waited for the parade to begin.

A little after 11 AM the parade began.

James Pruit drove his squad car with the sirens blarring and the light flashing to lead the parade through Marrowbone. Almost everyone in the parade was tossing candy to the kids standing along the edge of the road. Near the end of the parade, Santa was riding on top of a fire truck waving at the kids as he made his way through town.

But after the parade ended, he was soon on his way back to the North Pole for his big job on Christmas Eve.
You can see most of the cars, trucks and some of the other things in the parade by clicking HERE.
